We started building here in 1987. It was quite a project clearing and draining the land. Joanne moved in 1989 while I did my last tour in Korea. Since then we have continued to rebuild, add on, remodel, build some more, add toys and the list goes on. Nothing quite like sitting on the upper deck in the evening and watching the dopy ducks and geese on the pond. Many evenings we take a stroll with all of the adopted, unwanted, dogs (most are black with brown markings). Usually 4-6 dogs are here most of the time.
Joanne has a home based business doing custom machine knitting and custom machine embroidery. Now she enjoys spoiling our grand daughters: Hannah, Heidi, Julianna and Briella.

Country Acres is operated by my Mom, Dad and niece Lindsay . They do animal control for several communities in the area. They always have a large selection of dogs and cats available for adoption. They strive to find homes for the animals with good traits and temperament. Many of the animals they come in contact with have been abused and just need positive attention to blossom and others have been abused so bad they could never be kept in a family setting.
